About me

In 2024, I had the pleasure and honour of acting as celebrant at my sister’s wedding. I loved the process of writing a ceremony that was truly personal to Laura and Edd - a reflection of who they are and how they wanted to celebrate.
Performing the ceremony in front of friends and family was slightly more daunting than teaching a classroom full of 34 boys (for my job at the time). Once I settled in, I found it to be an incredibly special experience. Afterwards, I received a great deal of positive feedback: how much people enjoyed the ceremony, how well they thought I did, and several told me I should be doing this professionally.
That summer, I was a guest at a few other weddings, where clear I saw a contrast of officiating styles - and, importantly, the difference between something deeply personal (a celebrant-led wedding) and something more routine (a registrar-led wedding).
I began to take the suggestions of becoming a celebrant more seriously, and that’s how I find myself here today, turning this into a profession. I believe weddings are a truly special occasion and should reflect the personality and values of the couple at the heart of them.
My background is varied, ranging from conservation to HR, teaching to even sales earlier in my career. These experiences, combined with a performing arts and sports-centred childhood, have shaped my ability to hold a room and tell a story. As a teacher, I was often praised for my ability to engage students and explain complex ideas in a clear and accessible way. It’s this natural presence, alongside my training and experience in communication and storytelling, that has enables me to deliver warm, engaging, and personal wedding ceremonies to the highest standard.
